Field of Interest: Porphyrin Building Blocks

Background: 2,2′-Dipyrromethane is a synthetic porphyrin building block specialty chemical manufactured by Frontier Specialty Chemicals. 2,2′-Dipyrromethane is useful for the synthesis of porphyrins and related compounds. 2,2′-Dipyrromethane was used for the synthesis of 5,15-diaryl porphyrins.1-4
