Oxazoles

Oxazoles are azoles with an oxygen atom and nitrogen atom seperated by a carbon atom in a 5 membered aromatic ring. They are found useful as scaffolds and reagents in organic synthesis and are formed by the Robinson-Gabriel, Fischer oxazole or the Bredereck reaction, among others.
